Hoof Wall Separation Disease Private Test Result – Application For Inclusion on CPBS Database

CPBS registered ponies tested privately for HWSD are eligible to have the result included in a section titled "Private HWSD" in the CPBS database. A completed and signed application for inclusion of a Private HWSD Test must be submitted to the CPBS office and must be accompanied with a true copy of the original certificate from the issuing laboratory. Online Stallion Directory

The Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society is inviting owners to submit applications for the free online approved Stallion Directory update for 2022.  The directory is a comprehensive source of Class 1 and Class 2 Connemara stallions available for service in Ireland (arranged by county) and abroad.  It contains pedigree information, a linear profile (where applicable), a photograph of each stallion (where provided by owner), stallion performance records (where available) and owner/keeper contact information. Inspections/Covid-19

Concerning the ongoing implications and gradual lifting of restrictions with regard to the coronavirus pandemic, the viability of holding inspections will continue to be monitored. The Council is hopeful that inspections will be held in the Autumn, subject to restrictions being further eased and that it is possible to put suitable procedures and precautions in place given the pandemic. CPBS cancellation of the 97th Annual Connemara Pony Show 2020

Following recommendations from the Irish Shows’ Association and due to ongoing concerns regarding the continuing impact of the coronavirus, the Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society announced with great regret earlier in May the cancellation of the planned 97th Annual Connemara Pony Show due to have been held at the Showgrounds in Clifden from August 19th to 22nd. This is the first time in the history of the Society that the Annual Show has been cancelled since the foundation of the Society in 1923, the first show being held at Roundstone in 1924....

Equine Premises Numbers As of 7th of February 2020 all Passport Issuing Organisations (PIO’s) can not proceed with type 1 (foal and pony registrations) and type 3 (pony importation) applications if they are not accompanied with a valid equine premises number.
