The 97th Annual Connemara Pony Show  10th, 11th and 12th September 2021  Due to the continuing and everchanging nature of the Covid-19 pandemic as it affects the country, it is planned to hold the 97th Annual Connemara Pony Show in Clifden over three days - Friday 10th September to Sunday 12th September 2021.  The CPBS Show Committee are working towards these dates and are appreciative of the continued support of their sponsors. The Society will be bound by the expert public health advice and prevailing regulations....

Members of the CPBS are invited to submit profiles of their stallion(s) for the CPBS Online Stallion Event 2021 to be launched on the Facebook page. This event is for members only and there is no charge. Closing date for submissions is Tuesday March 30th at 5pm and they will be uploaded on Sunday 4th April. They will be archived permanently in a folder on the Facebook page. More success for Blackwoodland Rock

After success at Le Mans (France) in the autumn with Gabrielle Enright, Blackwoodland Rock (I love You Melody x Grey Rock Trish) returned to Ireland in January 2020 to the Enright family stables in Fermoy, Co Cork.  Gabrielle (15) took up riding at the age of 10 and a year later her family purchased her first Connemara pony, followed by three more.  Gabrielle had success showing her ponies Omey Darlin and Ardfry Remy but wanted to focus on showjumping for her final year in ponies. 97th ANNUAL CONNEMARA PONY SHOW Clifden 2021

The CPBS is actively working towards the Annual Show to be held in Clifden this year. The dates August 11 to 13 have been provisionally selected, however due to the recently reimposed Covid Level 5 restrictions a definitive date cannot be confirmed just yet, and we await eagerly the revised ‘Living with Covid’ plan due to be issued by the Government shortly. The Irish Shows Association has not given any advice to cancel shows for 2021 and the CPBS has their full support. Ultimately it will be up to the CPBS...

Applications are now being accepted for the Spring CPBS Colt/Stallion Inspections taking place at Creagh Equestrian Centre, Ballinasloe, Co Galway 26th-28th March. Pat Lyne Remembered

The Connemara pony and its kinsfolk have lost a true friend with the sad news that Pat Lyne has passed away, aged 91 years.
