Issue of Duplicate Documents

Please read the following before completing the application. ALL DUPLICATE PASSPORT APPLICATIONS MUST BE VERIFIED BY DNA, MICROCHIP AND MARKING CHART. THIS WILL EXTEND THE TIME LINE OF APPLICATION TO 4 WEEKS. A Fee of €200 (CPBS Members €185.00) must be returned with this form to the CPBS prior to the CPBS undertaking to issue the pony with a Duplicate Document of identification. Gelding Registration/Classification

Upon submission of the following items the CPBS will classify the gelding in the appropriate class. Registration fee. Veterinary Certificate stating the following: Height Certificate of castration Colour New Markings Verification of microchip If the pony has not been micro chipped, microchips must be bought from the CPBS. Council Meeting Report

The CPBS Council met in Ballinasloe yesterday for its June meeting. A working group led by Denise Norton which was formed to discuss Dr. Jack Murphy’s discussion document recommended that colt owners be given the opportunity to bring their colts for a private linear profiling session in the Autumn before they are presented for inspection to offer advice and education to colt owners. Equine Premises numbers

Please note that if you have not applied for your Equine premises number with the Department of Agriculture please ensure to do so as soon as possible. A person may not have an equine in his/her possession or under his/her control unless the details of his/her premises is registered. The CPBS will request equine premises number for all transactions with the society. Forms is available from the downloads section and must be returned to your local regional office of the department. No fee required....

DNA SAMPLING & MICROCHIPPING FOR REGISTRATION OF FOALS AND PONIES

IMPORTANT NOTICE Any samples received in the lab after the 23rd August cannot be guaranteed being issued with a passport by the CPBS before the October Sales. Passports will be issued in strict rotation and as foals may be sampled from birth we recommend owners apply for kits as early as is practicable. Samples with multiple parents, mix ups and exclusions - which may entail resampling or additional testing - will incur further delays and will automatically be excluded from this timeline.
