Loose Jumping Qualifiers 2017

Equine Identification Regulations – Breeders please read

Keepers are responsible for ensuring that equines have the relevant identification documents issued within 12 months from the date of birth of the animal. In this context, it might be noted that keepers are required to submit a completed application for an equine to an appropriate PIO within 6 months from the date of the equine's birth. The CPBS would like to encourage our breeders to apply for their DNA as soon as possible in order to help avoid delays. Thank you...

Connemara’s shine bright at Fontainebleau

What a weekend for the Connemara pony. Cul Ban Mistress (by: Silver Shadow, ex: Cloneenagh Lass (by: Dunloughan Lad) winning the GP in Fontainebleau, France and securing a third placing for Ireland in the Nations Cup BIP. Cul Ban Mistress was bred by Barry Connaire, Co Galway and is owned by Clive Swindell and ridden by the very talented Kate Derwin. CPBS Hall of Fame Awards

The 2017 CPBS Hall of Fame Awards took place over the Spring Festival.  All sixteen recipients or a representation were presented with their award during the CPBS dinner dance in the Station House Hotel, Clifden on the Saturday night.  The CPBS would like to congratulate all recipients and thank everyone for their dedication and their continuous support to the Connemara pony.  The nominees were awarded their Hall of Fame for their dedication, time and expertise given towards the improvement of the breed through breeding, performance and media. Amnesty for Connemara Fillies/Mares 2017-2019

The Connemara Pony Breeders' Society has introduced an amnesty for fillies/mares from  class three parents which permits them to be presented for inspection and be classified according to the studbook rules.  The amnesty registration period will run from 1st April 2017 to 31st October 2019.  Stallions or Geldings are not eligible for this amnesty. Breeders who would like to avail of this amnesty for fillies/mares can submit an inspection application form to the CPBS office and can attend any of the listed inspection centres.
