CPBS Arena Party Training 2022

It is planned to hold an arena party training day during February. Training is open to CPBS members of 18 years and over. To participate, equine experience in handling ponies is essential as well as being physically fit. A practical knowledge of riding and jumping is also desirable and successful applicants should be available to participate at loose jumping events. A restricted number of places are available. Hoof Wall Separation Disease Private Test Result – Application For Inclusion on CPBS Database

CPBS registered ponies tested privately for HWSD are eligible to have the result included in a section titled "Private HWSD" in the CPBS database. A completed and signed application for inclusion of a Private HWSD Test must be submitted to the CPBS office and must be accompanied with a true copy of the original certificate from the issuing laboratory. The Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society is inviting owners to submit applications for the free online approved Stallion Directory update for 2022.  The directory is a comprehensive source of Class 1 and Class 2 Connemara stallions available for service in Ireland (arranged by county) and abroad.  It contains pedigree information, a linear profile (where applicable), a photograph of each stallion (where provided by owner), stallion performance records (where available) and owner/keeper contact information. Council Meeting Report – 11th January 2022

Council Meeting Report - 11th January, 2022 The CPBS council held a meeting via zoom on Tuesday 11th January, 2022. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Among the items discussed were as follows: The President hoped pandemic conditions would improve as meeting via zoom was not ideal and that the council could only continue as best possible in the circumstances. Change of Ownership Rules

When selling / transferring ownership: • Give the passport to the buyer / new owner at the time of sale and • Complete and sign the "seller" sections of the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society form (buyer to also complete their part) and • Take a photocopy or photograph of the completed form for your records. • Give the original completed form to the buyer/new owner.
