CPBS Council Meeting Report

The CPBS Council met last night in the Westwood House Hotel. Linear Scoring tutor Michael Kirwan gave an interesting presentation on the use of linear scoring. A panel of twelve inspectors will be trained in Linear Scoring this Autumn and it is hoped to have the scoring system in place for the 2016 inspections. Michael Kirwan, Philip Scott and Jack Doyle will conduct the training. The Marketing committee will produce a short promotional video on the Connemara pony which will be used online. EGM Memorandum and Articles of Association

The Council of the CPBS have convened an Extraordinary General Meeting of the CPBS to be held on Friday 17th July 2015 in Hayden's Hotel, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway at 8.30pm. The purpose of this EGM is to consider and, if thought fit pass a special resolution to amend the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company. A number of information sessions are being organised around the country for CPBS members to discuss the proposed changes to the current Memorandum and Articles of Association. The proposed amendments to the existing CPBS Memorandum and Articles provide for transparency and accountability which will guide the Society as a limited company in managing its business in a professional manner into the future. Council Meeting Report

The Council of the CPBS met last night in the Westwood House Hotel in Galway. A commitment was given by the Council at the last AGM to hold an EGM before the end of this Summer. Last night it was agreed to hold the EGM on Friday 17th July 2015 in Ballinasloe at 8.30pm. Unfortunately it would be impossible to hold the meeting on a Saturday or Sunday due to the large number of shows taking place during the Summer. Danish and Swedish Societies Celebrate Jubillee Anniversaries

The Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society wishes to congratulate the Danish and Swedish Connemara Pony Societies on their Golden Jubilees and thank their breeders for the support they have given the pony and its breeders here in Ireland over the last fifty years. Both the Danish Society (since 1964) and Swedish Society (since 1965) have promoted and championed the Connemara pony in Scandinavia with great success. The CPBS very much appreciates their work.
