Connemara Pony Educational Seminar at Kylemore Abbey

A group of USA students from the Animal Science Faculty at Michigan State University (MSU) visited Kylemore Abbey on Tuesday 18th May. The group of eighteen students and two lecturers were travelling around Ireland in the quest to learn more about the Irish Horse Industry. Visiting the 1,000-acre Kylemore Estate provided them with the opportunity to learn more about Ireland’s native pony, the Connemara pony, in its natural surroundings. 97TH ANNUAL CONNEMARA PONY SHOW Clifden, Tuesday 9th to Friday 12th August, 2022   For reasons explained last October, this year’s show is being held in the second week of August, and will be a four day show.  The dates will revert to the third week in 2023. CPBS Spring Weekend 2022

Clifden woke to a stunningly beautiful cloudless azure blue sky and blazing sunshine last Saturday for the final day of three devoted to the spring colt inspections and the beginning of the Annual Spring Weekend. The colt inspections, moving from Creagh (Thursday and Friday) on to Clifden, overall attracted 45 entries with 20 achieving Class 1, and 9 placed in Class 2.
