Change to Office opening hours

The CPBS office will close its doors to the public Mondays to Thursdays.  The office will be open every Friday from 9am-4pm.  The phone lines will be answered from 3.30pm-5pm daily. This closure is to facilitate the processing of foal passports.  The CPBS apologies for this inconvenience and ask if your query is urgent to email [email protected] .  The staff are conscious of the importance of returning passports to our breeders as quickly as possible. Connemara Pony Festival Report 2016

As the dust settles on another festival the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society offers its thanks to all who took part in the 93rd show.  Luckily the weather held for most of the showing period and this allowed exhibitors and spectators to enjoy the occasion.  We had worthy champions in the likes of Lackragh Beauty crowned the Supreme Champion, owned by Fiona & Tomas Grimes, Bob Marley at eighteen years young taking home the title of Clifden High Performance Champion, Pataire Crawford at 15 years of age cleared the wall at 1.47 riding...

The following nominations have been received from candidates seeking election to the Council of the Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society in accordance with Article 15 of the CPBS Constitution by the closing date of 9/8/16: Connacht Michael Flanagan, Hazelwood, Co. Connemara Pony Festival

The annual Connemara Pony Festival will take place in Clifden, Co. Galway from Tuesday 16th to Sunday 21st August. Celebrating Ireland’s native pony the festival attracts visitors from all over the World to the capital of Connemara. The festival opens on Tuesday when a bus tour will depart the Showgrounds, Clifden at 10am and head towards Bunowen, Ballyconneely to visit a number of Connemara pony studs and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
