CPBS Council Meeting summary

A council meeting of the CPBS council took place on Monday 27th February in Gullanes Hotel, Ballinalsoe, Co Galway.  A lengthy discussion on the CPBS classification system took place and the meeting agreed to bring the points to the breeders and members at an Educational talk during the Spring Festival.  The meeting congratulated all individuals who completed the Linear Profiling course and a new course would be commencing in March, for four consecutive Sundays.  The CPBS Performance Committee informed the meeting that Connemara pony Carn Verdon Boy owned by Deirdre...

CPBS affiliates to Horse Sport Ireland

The Connemara Pony Breeders Society are proud to be formally affiliated to Horse Sport Ireland (HSI). Colt Inspections for Spring

Colt inspections for Spring will take place on Friday 31st March in the Showgrounds, Clifden, Co Galway.  There will only be one centre for colts in the Spring.  Forms, dates and venues for colts and fillies will be available later today. There will be a colt inspection in Mullingar in the Autumn 2017....

Prefix Form

A Registered Prefix is a unique one-word Prefix or Suffix used in the naming of ponies at birth or registration with the Society by a breeder. A registered prefix can only be used for ponies bred by the registered owner of that Prefix.  A registered prefix may not be used as any part of a name given to ponies bought and named by the owner of that registered prefix or to ponies owned or bred by anyone else. Council Meeting Report 04/01/16

The CPBS Council met on Wednesday (4th January  ) evening for the first council meeting of 2017.  The main topics discussed were, Linear profiling, Inspections and HWSD.  The meeting agreed to hold the final two days training for the linear profiling over January and February.  A group of twenty four participants completed two days training in November.  The Inspection committee addressed the meeting about introducing changes to the format on the inspection process for colts and fillies.  A number of ideas were discussed and all members of council are going to...

Council Meeting 28-11-2016

The CPBS Council had their final council meeting of 2016 on Monday evening (28th).  The president held a minutes silence for the late Claire Lowe (CPBS Judge) and the late Bertie McNamara (brother of Joe McNamara (CPBS judge). The main topic on the agenda was a review of the CPBS inspection process.
