Council Meeting Report

The current Council of the CPBS held its final meeting last night having met fourteen times since the AGM last year. Following the AGM the newly elected Council will be in place. It was agreed to hold the stallion parade on Sunday 3rd April in Clifden. The Council acknowledged the huge success achieved by Cúl Bán Mistress in showjumping this year and it was agreed to make a presentation to her owner at the Christmas show. CPBS Christmas Show

The annual Christmas Show will take place in Creagh Equestrian Centre, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on Saturday 12th December. As usual there will be a colt foal and filly foal class. Each featuring a prize fund of €500. Classes will commence at 11am. Entry forms can be downloaded below. The CPBS are pleased to announce that they will be running their first ever show jumping competition at the Christmas Show, There will be three classes Mini (70-80cms) Midi (90cms) and Maxi (1metre). Christmas Show

The CPBS annual Christmas show will take place in Creagh Equestrian Centre on Saturday 12th December. There will be a colt foal class and a filly foal class each featuring a €500 prize fund. Council Meeting Report

The CPBS Council convened last night in the Westwood Hotel for its October meeting. Dr. Jack Murphy's eagerly awaited discussion document was circulated. A copy of the report can be downloaded below. Dr. Murphy hopes members and breeders will read and discuss it and provide feedback on it. The Council discussed it at length last night. Overheight ponies and their place in the studbook was discussed.
