Council Meeting Report – 11th January 2022

Council Meeting Report - 11th January, 2022 The CPBS council held a meeting via zoom on Tuesday 11th January, 2022. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Among the items discussed were as follows: The President hoped pandemic conditions would improve as meeting via zoom was not ideal and that the council could only continue as best possible in the circumstances. Change of Ownership Rules

When selling / transferring ownership: • Give the passport to the buyer / new owner at the time of sale and • Complete and sign the "seller" sections of the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society form (buyer to also complete their part) and • Take a photocopy or photograph of the completed form for your records. • Give the original completed form to the buyer/new owner. 2021 CPBS Council Elections

The allocation of council seats for the Connacht region took place on Wednesday (6th October) at 8pm in the Salthill Hotel, Galway.  Mr. Tom Burke (Peace Commissioner) carried out the draw.  Candidates along with one observer were invited to attend. CPBS Council Election 2021

Thirteen nomination papers were returned by 1 September for the forthcoming elections to Council. Of these, five were found not to be compliant with the conditions required for submission as agreed by Council 2021. Non-adherence to the conditions included the following: membership numbers not matching proposer, incorrect membership numbers, non-member proposer, failure to fill out the form as requested, proposer incorrect number, non-compliance of returning the full application, non-compliance with method of returning nomination papers by registered post.
