Showjumping Success

  The unqualified success of the show jumping programme at the Creagh Christmas Show begs the question why this did not happen before now. Seventy-five ponies jumped in the four competitions, 80, 90, 1m and 1.10, most of them in two competitions. Despite the torrential rain and flooding, the showjumpers seemed to come out of the woodwork for what was somewhat of a watershed in how we market our pony. Council Meeting Report

The CPBS Council convened last night in the Westwood Hotel for its October meeting. Dr. Jack Murphy's eagerly awaited discussion document was circulated. A copy of the report can be downloaded below. Dr. Murphy hopes members and breeders will read and discuss it and provide feedback on it. The Council discussed it at length last night. Overheight ponies and their place in the studbook was discussed. CPBS Council Elections

CPBS Council Elections In relation to the election to Council, members are reminded that 11 seats are available in Connacht, 2 in Ulster, 3 in Leinster and 3 in Munster. Ballot papers will be issued to voting members in late October and subsequently members will be kept informed re. further procedures and dates. The newly elected Council should be in place by the end of November. Change to Wednesday’s Schedule

Please note there is a slight change to Wednesday's schedule. The four year old Performance Mare Final will now commence at 11am. The Green Hunter final will start at 12.30pm and the three year old loose jumping final will start at 2.30pm. Emma Massingale will give an illustrated talk in the Station House Theatre at 4.30pm....
