Tuesday 15th August

Connemara Pony Bus Tour

Departs the Showgrounds, Clifden 10am (€10)

The bus will depart the showgrounds in Clifden and head towards Ballyconneely and onto south Connemara taking in a number of well known pony breeders while viewing the stunning landscape.

ICCPS Meeting

Day 1 of the Connemara Pony Show

International Connemara Performance Hunter – 9am sharp

Irish Green Hunter final – 11am

Dressage Demonstration with Alana Cazabon & Carn Verdon Boy – 1pm (approx)

Three Year Old Loose Jumping final – 2pm (approx)

Four Year Old Performance Mare Championship – 4pm (approx)

Family working hunter (6pm approx)

Day 2 of the Connemara Pony Show

Official Opening will take place at 1.30pm with Minister Michael Creed

Result of Best Dressed Lady Competition – 3pm

Showdown in Station House Hotel – 10pm

Best Dressed Competition – Thursday 17th

Thursday is ladies and gents day! As part of the Connemara festival a best-dressed lady competition will take place at the showgrounds.  Judge on the day is Mandy Maher from Catwalk Modelling Agency and stylist with Ireland AM TV3.  The winner of the Best Dressed Lady competition will receive a €500 voucher redeemable for Millars, Connemara.  Runner up will receive a Newbridge Jewellery piece from the Celtic Shop, Clifden.  The most appropriately dressed lady or man will win a pair of Dubarry boots and the most stylish gentleman will receive a Jack Murphy jacket from Hehirs in Clifden.

Dublin/Galway:

From Dublin, follow the M4/M6 to Galway (2 Toll Plazas).  On the approach to Galway city, follow all signs for Clifden N59

The journey from Galway  to Clifden is 50 miles, takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by car

From Limerick/Shannon

Public Transport

The train stops in Galway city.  There are two bus services to Clifden from Galway – Citylink and Bus Eireann
