Please note that any stallion/mare which fails or does not meet the criteria for Class One are fully entitled to have their stallion/mare re-inspected at the next Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society inspection date. Owners will have to reapply to the CPBS office and the full cost shall be borne by the applicant.
Inspections take place twice a year in the Spring and Autumn. Dates and venues once available will be on the website.
Veterinary Examination/Height Appeal
Owners of stallions/fillies that do not meet the veterinary requirements on the day of inspection or who are unsatisfied with the height measurement can have a re-examination carried out by the University Hospital, Dublin within one month of the original inspection. It is the responsibility of the owner to apply to the veterinary hospital and also notify the CPBS office that they are doing so. The cost of the re-examination is borne by the applicant and the decision of the University Veterinary Hospital, Dublin is final. A CPBS representative will be present at the University Hospital on the day of the appeal.
