Starfinder of the Future 2013

Starfinder Presentation2013The Starfinder of the  Future is a competition for 6 & 7yr old ponies, with 6yr olds jumping 1.10m, and 1.15m in the jump off, and 7yr olds jumping 1.15, and 1.20 in the jump off. The 10 top ponies from each qualifier can go forward to the final, where there are two pre qualifiers, leaving  the top 25 ponies for the final, which is held at the National Pony Championships  This year they were held  at Ennis Showgrounds on  the 25th August.

The CPBS is delighted to be associated with this Championship,  and each year sponsor €500 to the  top placed Connemara at the final of Starfinder.  This year  there were 8 pure bred Connemaras and 1 part bred  Connemara  at the final.

The Top Placed Connemara this year was “Ryans Son”, by Sweetwall Captains Courageous ex Ashbrook Mist by Earl of Castlefrench. This 6yr old Gelding is owned by Robert Fagan of Mullingar Equestrian, and was ridden by Adriano Rolandi, or Nano Healy as he is known to his friends. The same combination also qualified for the 6 & 7yr old jumping ponies at the RDS.

The Connemara Pony Breeders Society would like to congratulate both Robert and Adriano and wish them the best in the future.
