Update 21st August 2018:  Under the CPBS Memorandum & Articles, as there are less or equal candidates to vacant electoral seats in each province, there will not be a postal ballot performed in 2018. The allocation of council seats to candidates will be decided by a draw which will be carried out by two independent people at an independent venue. Mr Sean Heanue and Mr Jerry Mahon will perform the draw on Thursday 6^th September - Candidates or their appointed representative are welcome to watch the draw take place if they wish and have been advised by post of the details. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following nominations have been received from candidates seeking election to the Council of the Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society in 2018 in accordance with Article 15 of the CPBS Constitution:

Noel Farrell, Co Meath. Patrick Geoghegan, Co Wicklow.  "I am the owner of Connemara Ponies for over 20 years now.  I served as a CPBS board member from 2015 to 2016.  My family and I are involved in breeding, showing and the production of competition ponies.  I would be very pleased to have the chance again to serve the CPBS again and work to promote the Connemara pony".  Phyllis Jones, Co Kildare.

Joe Gaughan, Co Mayo.  "I am seeking to become a member of the CPBS council as I feel I have a lot to offer, and I am an honest upstanding member and will do my best for the members and the pony".  Ann Marie Conroy, Co Galway.
