The Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society Spring Festival will run from Friday 1^st April to Sunday 3^rd April. Colt inspections will take place in Mullingar Equestrian Centre on Friday commencing at 10am. On Saturday a showjumping competition will take place at the Showgrounds, Clifden for registered Connemara ponies starting at 11am. The competition will feature a mini (70 – 80cms), midi (80 – 90cms), maxi (1m) and a 1.10m. There is an attractive prize fund of €1800 on offer and riders can be any age. Entries will be taken on the day. The annual stallion parade, open to Class one and Class two Connemara stallions takes place on Sunday at 12 noon. This is Ireland’s largest stallion parade and owners will have the opportunity to show their stallions in-hand or under saddle.
